Three New Spitfire Labs Instruments - Synth Strings, Organic Textures and Bass Guitar

Let's take a look at the three newest Spitfire Labs Instruments called Synth Strings, Organic Textures and Bass Guitar. I can't express how much I love Labs and it has always been a fantastic collection of high quality sounds and a great source of inspiration. As expected the three newest entries don't disappoint.

Synth Strings

Labs has a really nice real string ensemble patch, but this time we get some cool synth sounds made from a popular 70s string synthesizer called Solina String Ensemble.

Synth Strings is split up into 6 different patches: Classic Strings, Classic Brass, Classic Strings & Brass, Strings Pad, Brass Pad and finally Strings & Brass Pad.

I think it sounds really lush and lively and is going to be very useful for all kinds of genres. Like it states on the website, it's going to fit equally well in pop songs as well as Blade Runner style soundtracks.

Organic Textures

One more set of awesome pads in the Labs collection! These ones are very useful to create natural atmospheres with wind, rain, thunder and even some birdsong. The original field recordings where manipulated into soft and organic sounding synth pads.

You may not use these sounds all of the time, but I'm glad that I have them available to use now, whenever I need something like that in my tracks.

Organic Textures has 5 different patches: Thunder & Birdsong, Thunder & Rain, Wind & Birdsong, Wind & Rain, Wind & Thunder

Bass Guitar

Since there is already a great drum kit and some basic percussion in Labs, I was kind of hoping that they would release a Bass Guitar later to complete the rhythm section, and here it is!

The Bass Guitar comes with 4 different patches: Classic Bass Amp, Classic Bass DI, Warm Bass Amp and Warm Bass DI.

The Warm and Classic patches have both a very distinct sound, which makes it very useful for harder as well as softer music. The Warm one sounds really nice and smooth and the Classic one is a lot punchier and more aggressive.

As you might know, all of these instruments are completely free and you can get them here: https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/
